Who is responsible for Plot

Plot is operated by Trey Douglas. In this policy, “Plot,” “we,” and “our” refer to Trey Douglas operating Plot. For account, support, privacy, or safety questions, contact plot@fortheplot.us.com.

This policy covers the current 18+ Plot app and this website. The iOS App Store release is in preparation.

Information you provide

Plot uses your email address for sign-in and account verification. Your profile can contain your first name, birth date, gender, manually entered city, biography, interests, dating preferences, date idea, and selected photos. Your profile and preferences may reveal information about your personal relationships. Share only information you are comfortable providing.

The optional Plot Twist quiz records five answers about dates, plans, conversations, recharging, and connection pace. The app stores likes, passes, matches, messages, blocks, reports, daily usage counts, and relevant timestamps to provide these features across devices. Information you send to support, including your email and description of an issue, is received separately through the support mailbox.

What other members can see

Eligible members can see your name, calculated age, gender, city, biography, interests, date idea and selected profile photos. Plot Twist may explain answers you have in common. Discovery does not disclose your email, full birth date or complete quiz answers.

Messages are available within an active match, subject to blocking and access restrictions. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Photo access controls cannot stop someone who can view a photo from taking a screenshot.

Why information is used

Information is used to authenticate accounts, display profiles, apply discovery preferences, suggest Plot Twist candidates, create mutual matches, deliver messages, enforce limits, process reports, address abuse, and delete accounts. Authorized operators and service providers may access information as needed for these functions.

Plot Twist compares shared quiz answers among eligible profiles and explains answers you have in common. It does not provide a psychological assessment or predict relationship success.

Your city is text you enter; the current app does not request GPS location. You choose profile photos through the device picker. Selected photos are resized and converted to JPEG before upload. The current photo picker does not require microphone or camera access.

Providers and this website

Supabase supplies account authentication, database services, and photo storage. Plot’s Supabase project is hosted in the United States. Resend delivers email codes. This website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting infrastructure. Providers may process technical information in countries where their systems operate, under their applicable service and data-processing terms.

Visiting this site involves technical requests that can include your IP address and browser information. No contact forms, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts have been added by Plot. Website quiz choices, demo reactions, and demo polls stay in page memory and are cleared when you reload; they are not submitted to an app account. Playing sample media sends ordinary asset requests to the website’s hosting infrastructure.

Provider resources: Supabase’s data-processing terms, Resend’s data-protection information, and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. These resources describe provider practices; this notice describes Plot’s use of those services. Live paid checkout and production identity verification are not enabled in the current app.

We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to respond to a valid legal request, protect rights, or address an urgent safety or security concern.

Keeping and deleting information

Account information stays in Plot’s primary app systems while your account remains open, except where you edit or remove information through available controls or it is otherwise removed. Signing out or pausing discovery does not delete your account.

To initiate deletion, open You → Delete my account, request a fresh email code, enter it, and confirm permanent deletion. Completed deletion removes the account and associated application records—including profiles, likes, matches, messages, blocks, and reports—and removes uploaded profile photos. If deletion stops after it begins, the account remains unavailable while deletion is retried. Contact support if you cannot complete it.

Support correspondence is separate from your app account. We retain it for the time needed to address your request, follow up on related issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. The criteria are the nature of the request, whether it remains unresolved, and any requirements to preserve relevant records. Deleting an app account does not automatically erase emails already sent to support.

Service-provider logs and backups can remain after deletion from the active app. Their retention depends on the service, applicable configuration, security and recovery needs, and legal requirements. Account deletion does not promise immediate erasure from every provider log or backup. Contact us with questions about information that may remain.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can edit your profile, photos, quiz answers and discovery preferences; pause discovery; block or report members; and initiate account deletion in the app.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or complain to a relevant privacy regulator. Use the app’s controls where available or email plot@fortheplot.us.com.

Describe the request and include the email used for your account. We may need to confirm that you control the account before acting. Never email a sign-in code, password, or identity document. Requests and applicable exceptions are handled according to applicable law.

Age and future changes

The current service is for adults aged 18 or older. Teen signup is not open. Report suspected underage accounts in the app or contact support. The current birthday check is self-reported; it does not establish a member’s identity.
